Clarence Jenkinson Belfield died on Sunday 17th September 1916, aged 26 years, and was remembered on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France.
He was born c1890 at Pleasley, Derbys, to parents John and Mary E. Belfield. John Belfield was a Farmer of 200 Acres (in 1881) who married Mary Jenkinson sometime before 1877. By 1901, Mary was widowed and living with her children in Edwinstowe.
