George Buckberry died on Thursday 8th March 1917, aged 22 years, and was buried in FONCQUEVILLERS MILITARY CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France.
He was born c1895 at Clay Cross, Derbyshire, and was the son of Fredrick and Annie Buckberry. Frederick Buckberry was a Coalminer and a native of Danesmoor, who married Annie Green in 1894. The family were living in Kirkby-in-Ashfield on the 1901 census. At the time of his death they were living at 18 Wesley Street, Annesley Woodhouse, Notts.
