Percy William Bailey Freer died on Saturday 20th May 1916, aged 18 years, and was buried in KINGSWAY OLD CEMETERY, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Notts. (Grave Ref A. A.I. 1917.)

He was born c1898 at Kirkby in Ashfield, to parents Samuel and Sarah Freer. Samuel Freer was a Licenced Victualler who married Sarah Ann Bailey at Basford in April 1886. In 1901 the family resided at the "Sherwood House" Public House, but had left that property before 1912.
