Joseph Edmund Gadsby died on 1st October 1918, aged 20 years, and was buried in the SUNKEN ROAD CEMETERY, BOISLEUX-ST. MARC, Pas de Calais, France.
He was born at Hasland, Derbyshire on 25th September 1898 to parents Joseph Turner Gadsby and Ada Mary Gadsby. At the time of his death they lived at 86 Diamond Avenue, East Kirkby, before moving to "The Haven", Clumber Street, East Kirkby, Nottingham.
