Tom Connelly Goodall died on Saturday 23rd December 1916, aged 32 years, and was buried in the KINGSWAY OLD CEMETERY, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottingham.

He was born c1884/5 at Sutton-in-Ashfield, to parents Charles Henry Heath Goodall and his wife Annie. Charles Goodall was recorded as the occupier of the Railway Inn, Kirkby, in 1900, but on the 1901 census his wife was alone and gave her occupation as Innkeeper. On the same census, Tom gave his occupation as Joiner/Carpenter. His mother was a native of Leith, Scotland.
