George Jordan died on Sunday 4th October 1914, and was buried somewhere in France.*

 

 

A search of the Medal Roll Index on the National Archives Website shows George Jordan serving in the 1/Lincolnshire Regt., under reference WO 372/3. It states that George Jordan, 14101, qualified for the Victory Medal, the British War Medal and the 1914/15 Star, in France, and that he subsequently died.

JORDAN George. Born Pinxton, Derbys, enlisted Mansfield (resides East Kirkby, Notts). 1st Bn., Lincolnshire Regt.,  Private 14101, Killed in Action, France & Flanders, 4th October 1914. Formerly 12450 Leicestershire Regt.
