William Larwood died on Thursday 21st March 1918, aged 19 years, and was remembered on the ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France.

He was born c1899 in Kirkby, to parents Philip and Annie Larwood. Philip Larwood was a Coal Miner, who married Annie Sharman at Kirkby in April 1897. Both parents were natives of Kirkby.

William Larwood was first cousin to Nuncargate's cricket legend Harold Larwood, as William's father Philip was elder brother to Harold Larwood's father Robert.
