Walter Milward died on 29th August 1915, aged 42 years, and was remembered on the HELLES MEMORIAL, Turkey.

He was the husband of Betty Bagshaw Milward, of 11 Bannerman Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Notts.

Milward - In affectionate remembrance of C.S.M. Walter Milward, of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, who died August 29th 1915, on H.M.S. "Soudan" of wounds received in Gallipoli. Not now, but in coming years, It may be in the better land, We'll read the meaning of our tears, And then sometime we'll understand. - Ever remembered by his wife and children, Winifred, Jack and Dorothy.
