Sydney Erling Morley died on 1st February 1916, aged 26 years, and was buried in KINGSWAY OLD CEMETERY, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Notts.

He was born c1890 at North Heigham, Norwich, Norfolk, and was the third son of William Chilvers and Mary Elizabeth Morley. William Chilvers Morley was a Coal Collector, and a native of Norwich. The family had moved to Kirkby-in-Ashfield sometime before 1901, and were living at Kirkby in 1916. They later moved to 30, Nottingham Road, Mansfield.
