John William Sheldon died on Thursday 25th April 1918, aged 20 years, and was remembered on the POZIERES MEMORIAL, Somme, France.
He was born c1897 at East Kirkby, to parents William & Sarah Sheldon. William Sheldon was a Coal Miner, and a native of Middleton, Derbys. At the time of John's death the family were living at 1 Byron Street, East Kirkby, Nottingham.
