Tom Tate died on 18th September 1917, aged 27 years, and was buried in the JANVAL CEMETERY, DIEPPE, Seine-Maritime, France.

He was the son of John and Eliza Ann Tate, of 15 Cemetery Road, East Kirkby, Nottingham. Native of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottingham.
