Arthur Shooter died on Thursday 28th August 1941, aged 23 years, and was buried in FREETOWN (KING TOM) CEMETERY, Freetown, Sierra Leone. This cemetery is located next to the old King Tom dockyard. Arthur Shooter may have died through illness or accident, as the HMS Eagle was not sunk until August 1942.
He was the son of John and Sabina Shooter, of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
