Albert Barnett died on 26th September 1916, aged 19 years, and was remembered on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France.

He was born c1897 at Leeds, to Laurence and Emily Barnett (nee Labron). On the 1901 census, Emily Barnett and her four children were visiting her brother, Walter Labron, who lived at Elm Street, Leeds. In 1916, Mr & Mrs Barnett resided at the Rifle Volunteer Inn, Skegby, Notts.

Albert Barnett's elder brother, George Labron Barnett, is also remembered on the Skegby War Memorial.
