George Litchfield died on 28th May 1915, aged 19 years, and was buried in BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France.
He was born c1896 in Skegby, the son of Ezra and Lavinia Litchfield, of "The Nook," Mansfield Road, Skegby, Notts. Ezra Litchfield was a native of North Crawley, Bucks., while his wife Lavinia was originally from Derby. George's elder siblings were born in Morley, Yorkshire, which suggests the family moved to Skegby between 1892-1896.
