Finn Barre Prendergast Rainsbury died on Sunday 23rd July 1916, Age 21, and was remembered on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France.

He was born at Stanton Hill on 16th March 1896 and was the son of Dr. William Cornelius Rainsbury and his wife Kate. Dr Rainsbury (late Lt., Royal Army Medical Corps.), of "Kilcrenagh," Stanton Hill, was the local doctor in Stanton Hill from 1893 throught to at least the 1940's.  Both he and his wife were natives of Ireland.
