Frederick Vardy died on Thursday 7 June 1917, age 38, and was remembered on the YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

He was the husband of Mrs Vardy, of Stoneyford Cottages, Stanton Hill, Notts, and step-father of John Tom Stocks, who is also commemorated on the Stanton Hill War Memorial.
