Missing Names

These soldiers are not included on either the main Sutton-in-Ashfield War Memorial or
the First World War Memorial outside St Michael and All Angels Church.

They may have been omitted in error or on purpose by their families. This list also includes duplicates (where two soldiers are found with the same initial and surname, but only one entry is recorded on the memorials). It may also include servicemen who were wounded during the war, but only died of their injuries after the end of the war, or soldiers who were wounded and discharged, and died later as a result of their wounds.

This page also includes service men who have died between the two World Wars, but were not included on any Memorial.

This is my own memorial to these forgotten soldiers.
