Benjamin William Adams died on Sunday 4 March 1917, age 28, and is remembered on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. He was remembered on both the main Sutton War Memorial and the Memorial of St Michael & All Angels Church, Sutton.

He was born c1889 in Hucknall Huthwaite to parents Benjamin and Alice Adams. Benjamin Adams was a Coal Miner and a native of Pinxton, Derbyshire, while his wife Alice was born in Boston, Lincolnshire.

He was the husband of Mrs Catherine Adams, of 51 Lime Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
