Tom Alvey died on Tuesday 8th August 1916, and is remembered on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France.

He was born c1877 at Pleasley Hill, Notts, to parents Charles & Eliza Alvey. Charles Alvey was a Bricklayer and Stonemason, and a native of Sutton-in-Ashfield, who married Eliza Seeds at St Peter & St Paul's Church, Mansfield, in October 1855.
