Leonard Baguley died on 25th August 1917, aged 23 years*, and was buried in the TINCOURT NEW BRITISH CEMETERY, Somme, France.

He was born on 5th November 1894 at New Cross, Sutton-in-Ashfield. He was the son of Ephraim Baguley, a Collier, and his wife Eliza Ann (formerly Hemms). The couple married at St Mary, Sutton-in-Ashfield in July 1891.

Leonard Baguley was the husband of Beatrice H. Baguley, of 35 Alfred Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Notts. His brother William Baguley is also remembered on the War Memorial.
