William Baguley died on Saturday 16 September 1916, Age 24, and is commemorated on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France.

He was born c1892 at Sutton-in-Ashfield, and was the son of Ephraim Baguley, a Collier, and his wife Eliza Ann (formerly Hemms). The couple married at St Mary, Sutton-in-Ashfield in July 1891.

William Baguley was the husband of Lily Baguley, of 6 Pingle Fields, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts. His brother Leonard Baguley was also remembered on the War Memorial.
