Notts Free Press - In Memoriam - 30th August 1918

Baggaley - In loving memory of Private Wifred Baggaley, who was killed in action on August 1st 1918. We pictured you returning, we longed to clasp your hand, But death postponed our meeting, 'Twill be in a better land. We little thought when we said "Good-bye", That we parted for ever and you were to die. You need no shroud of linen white, No waxen flowers to deck your grave, You need our prayers in the friendly night, God rest you there our fallen brave. - From his loving Wife and Children.
