William Henry Bean died on Wednesday 23rd May 1917, Age 32, in Scotland, and was buried in Sutton in Ashfield Cemetery on 27 May 1917. (Grave Ref C. MM. 4485).

He was born on 29th June 1884 in Hardwick Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield. He was the son of George Bean, a stocking framework knitter and his wife Eliza (formerly Limb), who married at St Peter's Church, Mansfield in February 1884. 

He was the husband of Ada Bean, 4 Sandy's Row, Sutton-in-Ashfield, and the father to seven children.

Bean - In Sweet Remembrance of Lance-Corporal W. H. Bean, the dearly loved husband of Ada Bean, who was accidentally killed in Scotland, May 23rd 1917.
