Ernest Bills died on Wednesday 27 June 1917, Age 29, and was remembered on the YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
He was born 14th February 1888, at Quarry Yard, Sutton-in-Ashfield. He was the son of Arthur and Sarah Bills. Arthur Bills was a Coal Miner, and native of Barlestone, Leicestershire. At the time of the 1901 census the family were living in Barlestone.
Ernest Bills was the husband of Catherine Bills (later Hill), of 5 Hardwick Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
