Felous Frederick Birks died on Saturday 4th December 1915, Age 28, and was buried at ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France.

He was born c1887 at Alfreton, Derbyshire, to parents Fredrick and Alice Birks. Frederick Birks was a Railway Guard, and a native of Aston, Shropshire. The family were still living in Alfreton on the 1901 census.

Felous Birks was also the husband of Annie Elizabeth Birks, who later lived at 2 Carlton Terrace, Carlton, Barnsley.
