Josiah Blythe died on Wednesday 12 September 1917, Age 28, and is remembered on the LOOS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France.

He was the son of William Blythe and Sarah (formerly Devonport), who were living at Stoneyford Lane at the time Josiah was baptised at St Andrew's Church, Skegby, in May 1889. Unfortunately, his mother Sarah died before Josiah was one year old, and his father was soon remarried to Ellen Frith in February 1892.

He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth (Meg) Blythe, of 15, Union St., Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
