John Edward Bramley died on Wednesday 6th November 1918, aged 25, and was buried in BREBIERES BRITISH CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France.

He was born c1893 at Sutton-in-Ashfield to parents Edward & Elizabeth Bramley. Edward Bramley was a Hosiery Factory Hand, who married Elizabeth Smith at St Mary's Church, Sutton, in December 1892. In 1901, the family were living on Eastfield Side, Sutton.

Bramley - In loving memory of Private John Edward Bramley, 116620, who died in France of wounds on November 6th 1918, aged 25 years. Thou hast but taken back that which Thou gavest, and o'er his short life we lovingly glance; Thine be the kingdom, the power and the glory, Though the grave of our darling is Somewhere in France - From Mother, Father, Wife and Child.
