Fred Bucklow died on Friday 29th September 1916, Age 21, and was commemorated on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France.
He was born c1895/6 at Sutton-in-Ashfield, to parents John George Bucklow and Annie Mary (formerly Buxton). John George Bucklow was a Coal Miner, and a native of Teversal, Notts. At the time of the 1901 census the family were living at 34 Willowbridge, Sutton, but by time of Fred's death they were living at 48 York Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
