Cecil Caunt died on Friday 30 August 1918, Age 21, and was buried in the FOUQUIERES CHURCHYARD EXTENSION, Pas de Calais, France.
He was born c1897 at Skegby Notts, and was the son of Henry Caunt and Emily (formerly Smith) who married at St Andrew's Church, Skegby in February 1888. At the time of Cecil's death his parents were living at 34 Vere Avenue, Stoneyford Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
Cecil Caunt is also remembered on the Skegby and Stanton Hill War Memorials.
An elder brother of Cecil Caunt also died in the war, and Percy Caunt is remembered on the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Skegby and Stanton Hill War Memorials.

Caunt, Private Cecil, Sherwood Foresters, 34 Vere Avenue, Stoneyford Road, who was killed on August 30th last at the age of 21 years. His only brother, Private Percy Caunt, also of the Sherwood Foresters, was killed on July 1st 1916.
