Albert Crampton died on 5th December 1916, aged 19 years, and was buried in the ST. SEVER CEMETERY EXTENSION, ROUEN, Seine-Maritime, France.

He was born 30th November 1897 on Station Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, to parents John & Mary Ann Crampton. John Crampton was a Flour Millers Carter, who was a native of Kelham, Notts. His wife Mary Ann was originally from Codnor, Derbys.
