Harry Critchlow died on Sunday 20 January 1918, Age 18, when HMS Louvain was torpedoed in the Mediterranean, and is remembered on the PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Hampshire, United Kingdom.

He was born c1899 at Newstead, Notts, and was the son of Ellen Sarah Critchlow. On the 1901 census Harry and his mother were living with his Grandmother, Ellen Critchlow, at 17 Park Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. At the time of Harry's death, his mother resided at 47 Huthwaite Road., Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.

Harry Critchlow is also remembered on the Kirkby-in-Ashfield War Memorial.
