Samuel Adlington Dove died on Wednesday 18 September 1918, Age 25, and is commemorated on the VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France.

He was the son of Samuel and Mary Ellen Dove of Waverley House, Priestsic Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts. He was born on 8th August 1893 at Forest Side, Sutton. His father was a Framework Knitter.
