William Dove died on Wednesday 10 October 1917, aged 29, and was buried in MONT HUON MILITARY CEMETERY, LE TREPORT, Seine-Maritime, France.

He was born on 19th May 1888, at Low Street, Sutton, to parents William & Ada Dove. William Dove sr. was a Boot & Shoe maker, who was living at Bowers Yard, Sutton-in-Ashfield in 1901.

William Dove was also the husband of Priscilla Dove, of 16 Langford Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
