William Farnsworth died on Friday 27 September 1918, aged 34, and was buried in the SANDERS KEEP MILITARY CEMETERY, GRAINCOURT-LES-HAVRINCOURT, Pas de Calais, France.
He was born c1884 at Hucknall Huthwaite, the only son of John and Annie Farnsworth. John Farnsworth was a Milk Dealer, and a native of Hucknall Huthwaite, while his mother was originally born in Northampton. In 1901 the family were living at New Street, Huthwaite.
William was also the husband of Catherine Lynam Farnsworth, of 37 Charnwood Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
