Walter James Fox died on 21st December 1916, and was buried in GROVE TOWN CEMETERY, MEAULTE, Somme, France. This was the cemetery used by the 34th and 2/2nd London Casualty Clearing Stations between September 1916 and April 1917.
He was born c1894 in Yeovil, Somerset, to mother Annie Fox. He also had a brother William who was two years older. Annie Fox married James Chant at Yeovil in 1897, and by the 1901 census the boys were living with their mother and stepfather at Odcombe, Somerset.
