Henry Gibbard died on Thursday 1st February 1917, aged 37, and was buried in the AMARA WAR CEMETERY, Iraq.
He was born c1880 in Adstone, Northants, to parents David & Sarah Sophia Gibbard. David Gibbard was a Agricultural Labourer, and a native of Adstone. By the 1891 census the family were still living in Adstone, and Henry's mother had died, while in 1901, Henry was working in South Normanton, Derbyshire as an excavator. At the time of his death his home address was 166 Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
