William Henry Harris died on Thursday 3 May 1917, Age 30*, and was remembered on the ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France.
He was born on Bowne Street, Sutton on 3rd March 1887, and was the son of George and Ellen Harris. George Harris was a Labourer who married Ellen Brooks at St Mary Sutton-in-Ashfield in October 1877. At the time of his death, William's parents were living at 74 Bowne Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
He was also husband of Hilda Jane Harris (later Marriott, nee Bryan), of 30 Swan Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
