Harry Hawksley  died on Thursday 11th July 1918, Age 21, and was buried in the Churchyard of St Mary Magdalene, Sutton-in-Ashfield.

He was born c1897 at East Kirkby, to parents John and Elizabeth Hawksley. John Hawksley was a Bricklayers Labourer, who married Elizabeth Blythe at St Wilfrid's Church, Kirkby in March 1886. At the time of the 1901 census the family were living at Vernon Road, Kirkby, but by the time of Harry's death they resided at 1 New Cross Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
