Douglas Hepworth died on Sunday 21st October 1917, Age 24, and was buried at the LA CLYTTE MILITARY CEMETERY, Heuvelland, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium

He was born on 27th March 1893 on Low Street, Sutton. He was the youngest son of William Hepworth, a butcher, and his wife Elizabeth (formerly Robinson) who married at St. Mary's church in August 1872.

At the time of his death, the family were living at 24 Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
