Luke Holland died on Wednesday 26 April 1916, aged 22 years, and was buried in the GRANGEGORMAN MILITARY CEMETERY, County Dublin, Republic of Ireland.

He was born c1895 at Hucknall Huthwaite, to parents George & Margarit Holland. George Holland was a Coal Miner, and a native of Belper, Derbys, while his wife was originally from Cork, Ireland. The family was living on Blackwell Road, Huthwaite in 1901.
