Henry Hutchinson, known as Harry, died on 15th August 1916, aged 25 years, and was remembered on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France.
He was born c1891 at Sutton-in-Ashfield, to parents John Frank & Mary Ann Hutchinson. John Frank Hutchinson was a Coal Miner, who married Mary Ann Walters at St Mary's, Sutton, in February 1884. In 1901, the family were living at Wain's Yard, King Street, but they resided at 13 Brook Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at the time of his death.
Harry Hutchinson lived in Parliament Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield before enlistment. He married Mary Florence Nelson in 1913, and they had one child, Roy. After Harry’s death my grandmother re-married, Horace Edward Morley and they lived in Parliament Street until about 1960 when they moved to the newly built Carsic Estate.
Harry Hutchinson was also the brother of Everett Hutchinson, who is also remembered on the War Memorial.
