David Irving died on Wednesday 17th January 1917, aged 17 years, and was buried in the ANCRE BRITISH CEMETERY, BEAUMONT-HAMEL, Somme, France.

David Irving was born during 1899 in Newark, Notts, and was the son of Frank & Margaret Irving. Frank Irving was a "Tailor Coat Hand" and a native of Appleby in Westmoreland, while his wife Margaret was originally from Dawfrier in Scotland.
