William Matchett died on Wednesday 18th October 1916, age 25, and was buried in SUTTON-IN-ASHFIELD CEMETERY, Nottinghamshire, on 21st October 1916. (Grave Ref AJ1225).

He was born on 3rd January 1891, at Kirkby Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield. His parents were Samuel Matchett, a Coal Miner, and his wife Dinah (or Diana).

William's home address prior to his death was 39 Sherwood Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
