John William North died on Thursday 3 October 1918, aged 37, and was buried at BELLICOURT BRITISH CEMETERY, Aisne, France.

He was born at Stanton Hill in 1881, and baptised at St Andrews Church, Skegby on 30th October 1881. His parents were John North and Catherine (Kate) Miller, who married at St Mary's Church, Sutton-in-Ashfield in September 1880.

He was also the husband of Sarah Ann North, of 10 Bentinck Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
