Reeves - To the Cherished and Loving Memory of Private Jesse Reeves, the only beloved son of Jesse and Clara Reeves, who was killed in action, in France, on August 6th 1916, in his 23rd year. Sleep on our precious darling boy, In a grave we may never see; But as long as life and memory last, We will always love and remember thee. Our grief will grow calm and the scars will heal, As slowly we tread down the vale; And when our work's done and we meet you again, We'll be glad that our boy did not fail. He sleeps with the brave. From sorrowing Father, Mother, little son (Ernest), Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Auntie and Mam.
