Albert Edward Sale died on 6th April 1919, aged 33 years, and was buried in the ABBEVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Somme, France.

At the time the 1918 electoral register was being prepared, Albert Sale was recorded on the "absent voter" lists as someone who was fighting abroad. His address was given as Sutton Forest, Sutton-in-Ashfield.

He was the husband of Beatrice Sale, who after his death was living at 22 Balvernie Grove, Southfields, London.
