John Herbert Shardlow died on Sunday 5th November 1916, aged 26 years, and was buried in the CARNOY MILITARY CEMETERY, Somme, France.

He was the husband of Rose E. Shardlow (later Cooper), and lived at 6 High Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
