Samuel Soar died on Sunday 2nd September 1917, aged 22 years, and was commemorated on the TYNE COT MEMORIAL, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

He was the son of Edward and Susannah Soar, and was born 31st March 1895 at Stoneyford Lane, Sutton-in-Ashfield.

 

Samuel Soar was awarded the
Military Medal in May 1916
