William Henry Tipping died on Wednesday 24 October 1917, Age 25, and was buried in SUTTON-IN-ASHFIELD CEMETERY, Nottinghamshire on 27th October 1917. (Grave Ref C. OO. 4762).

He was born at Duke's Cottages, Sutton-in-Ashfield on 7th March 1892, the son of Frank Tipping and Kate (formerly Chadbourne). His father was a native of Farnsfield, Notts, while his mother gave her birthplace as Kirkby. They married at St Mary, Sutton-in-Ashfield in March 1889.
