John George Walton died on Friday 22 March 1918, Age 28, and is commemorated on the ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France.

He was born on 23rd October 1889 at Stoney Street, Sutton, to parents Benjamin and Norah Walton. Benjamin Walton was a Hosiery Manufacturer, and a native of Sutton-in-Ashfield, who married Nora Rogers at St Mary's Church, Sutton, in June 1883. At the time of the 1901 census the family were living at 47 Stoney Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield. 

He was also the husband of Millicent Walton, of "Devonia," Alfreton Rd., Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
